Ulala Yamamoto

I am a Pilates Foundation qualified teacher. who has undertaken training with Dominique Jansen the director of Pilates off the Square in London. I have a wealth of experience and knowledge of movement and body mechanics gained during my twenty year career as professional contemporary dancer and through my understanding and application of Pilates.

I have been teaching Pilates for sixteen years and have taught extensively in both Japan and the UK. I teach all levels and age groups from professional athletes, pre and post-natal clients and the elderly, I also teach injury prevention and rehabilitation, as well as pre and post surgery Pilates.

I have organised and run a number of Pilates and movement workshops for dancers in Japan. I discovered the fantastic benefits of the Pilates method throughout my dance career and two pregnancies and feel passionate about sharing this with my clients.

Another of my passions is Pilates for those who live with movement challenges as a result of various neurological conditions.

I was part of the successful team of teachers at Brighton Pilates Studio, where I teach group, private and a wide variety of other classes and assist on their very popular Pilates teacher training programme.

I am constantly striving to widen my knowledge of all aspects of exercise and physiology and have recently taken a course to become a Moving Fascia practitioner at Evolve education with Ana Barretxeguren.

Kay Cowling

Kay teaches a contemporary style of Pilates.

She initially did her training at Body Control Pilates in London and then went on to study at Evolve Movement Education, under Ana Barretxeguren. Here she completed her comprehensive studio equipment training and gained a deeper understanding of the body through myofascial release techniques alongside Pilates.

Kay is super knowledgeable about the body and has a kind and caring approach. Constantly learning and updating her knowledge, Kay became a breath coach in August 2022 and is passionate about helping people to look at their breathing patterns in correlation to their overall health.

Lenka Sobotkova

I found Pilates years ago whilst training for triathlons and working as a personal trainer. Early on, I recognised the benefits of Pilates and delved deeper into the world of movement, observing how much Pilates can help people on their journeys.

Expanding my knowledge with Pregnancy and post natal exercise level 3 qualification seemed a logical progression for me and soon after, I trained as a mat pilates teacher.

During my first pregnancy, I found pilates to be so beneficial, and this lead me to dive even deeper and enroll into Polestar Pregnancy and Postnatal pilates workshops.

Pilates inspired movement helped me to have lovely and smooth experiences with all three pregnancies and births of my children, as well as with post natal recoveries.

Mor recently I have trained with Evolve Movement Education to become a Comprehensive Pilates studio teacher and have been teaching Pilates on the equipment since 2017. In addition to this, I have developed my knowledge further by attending the Moving Fascia® Embodied Anatomy course.

I remain committed to using Pilates and the latest movement research to help people discover their bodies in movement, their inner strengths and to enjoy healthy movement in everyday life.

Kelly

Kelly has a passion for movement, fitness and wellness and enjoys nothing more than passing on the health benefits to clients through fitness and Pilates classes.

As a child, Kelly loved to dance and swim. As soon as she could she trained as an aerobics instructor and went on to teach step aerobics, circuit training, bodypump and became a personal trainer and worked in gyms. With over 30 years experience working in the fitness industry, Kelly has taught various exercise classes for clubs including Virgin, LA Fitness, David Lloyd, local leisure centres and her own classes in the community.

Kelly found a deep love for Pilates after having her first child and starting to experience injuries and burnout. Through Pilates, Kelly discovered more strength, clarity of mind and energy.  As well as an ability to continue teaching whilst sharing how, through Pilates, we can help ourselves to recover from many injuries and setbacks in our lives.
